Topanga Creek Bicycles is a Los Angeles area bicycle shop that specializes in mountain and touring bicycles in Southern California. We are in Topanga Canyon which is 12 scenic miles from the Santa Monica Pier. When you visit us in Topanga we want you to relax in our Adirondack chairs along the creek and enjoy the retreat-like surroundings. With Topanga State Park right next door you will find yourself completely in tune with Mother Nature. We value quality of life and hope our shop can offer you the best cycling experience in Los Angeles - on and off the bike.
Every year the Bicycle Retailer and Industry News (BRAIN) recognizes a handful of bike shops across the country and gives out special awards in several different categories. In 2012 Topanga Creek Bicycles was awarded the BRAINy Top Mountain Bike Pro Shop in the U.S. It was a huge honor to be recognized by the bike industry and our peers.
There's no doubt that mountain biking is our passion. We regularly close the shop to partake in MTB races; we have a weekly shop ride and an overnight biking adventure that welcome all people; and we continue to grow our TCB community by getting people on quality bicycles everyday so they have the best experience. We welcome you all to become part of our family.
When it comes to bikepacking and bicycle touring you can count on us to help get you to your next destination whether it be a short weekend get-away or a three-month trek across South America. Road or off-road it's your pick because we've got the expertise and also the gear in stock to get you going. We will invite you to bike races. We will even overnight parts to you should you become stranded in the middle of nowhere while touring. Yes, you are stuck with us for life and that's a great thing.

The light and stiff carbon frame rides on a pair of 27.5" wheels that can crush anything in its way. The Mach 6 is designed to enhance your

We're humbled. The National Bicycle Dealers Association has once again awarded us America's Best Bike Shops for 2014. It is an incredible honor
to receive such recognition two years in a row. Without saying this is to be shared with our amazing shop family (yes all of you awesome
loyal customers out there) for making TCB the special place that is. I guess we'll have to do more fun mountain bike rides,
go to more races, create more camping weekends, bikepack more, and unpredict many more journeys. Big title sure comes with big burden!
For those of you who care more about having FUN on a bike than counting and shaving off a few milligrams off the handlebar, the Niner ROS 9 will
put a huge smile on your face. It's slack front-end geometry, extra short chainstays and oversized headtube give you a ride that's confident and
composed. The 4130 chromoly steel frame takes the edge off the hardtail as you roll and jump over those rocks and roots. Fit it with a 140mm fork with gears
or without, and you're in for some serious fun. Roll over anything you want - just aim and go for it. In stock now.

The local newspaper Topanga Messenger recently did a
story on us
and highlighted the ever-growing community we have created around the shop. Our community is made up of people
from all walks of life, of all ages, and even from all over the world. We do weekly mountain bike rides,
go to bike races, host movie nights, get people together to do trail maintenance, hire local artisans to make shop
jerseys and mugs, and partake in national bicycle advocacy meetings to better the greater cycling community.
Needless to say, our community is the essence of the shop. We are so grateful that we have met and come to know
so many of you who we call friends and who are an integral part of the community. Please follow
to the article.
We love things that are handmade because it requires creativity, individuality and craftsmanship to produce
something that is never identical to the next one. We strongly support the artisan community and you can
find many of these unique handmade items at our shop. The popular TCB mugs are made by a local artist in Topanga.
Danny, who is a luthier by trade, makes
wooden clocks with recycled bicycle components. There are rubber wallets made out of recycled bicycle tubes. You'll also
find handmade touring frame bags and related accessories. Visit our shop to see them all.
Take your bike to the next level with a set of our custom built wheels. We hand lace all custom wheels from
scratch starting with a pair of hubs from highly sought-after companies such as Chris King and White Industries.
Using Phil Wood Spoke Cutting Machine, we can cut and thread each spoke to any length based on wheel and hub
combination. It's then a true balancing act to get each wheel complete round, dished and true to yield a final
product that's light-weight, strong, precise and race-ready. Reduced rotational weight means you'll work less
with every pedal stroke, thus noticeable gain in efficiency and power.
